Perfectly integrating a garage door into a façade is never accidental: it is resolved to the millimetre at design stage, together with the architect and the contractor.
The flush principle
The leaf is clad in the same material as the façade and sits flush with the outer face. Shadow gaps align with those of the cladding, so the eye only reads one continuous material.
What to anticipate
A successful integration is prepared on the drawings. Three points are decisive:
- The structural opening and shell tolerances
- The final cladding weight, which drives the frame design
- The non-protruding opening, which keeps the driveway clear
Our engineering office works directly on your construction drawings so the door is designed as part of the façade, not as an accessory added later.
