Garage door — 1 tonne of brick
Brick slips on an eclectic Art Nouveau mansion — exceptional renovation & extension
An exceptional architectural project: the renovation and extension of a mansion house in eclectic Art Nouveau style, where every façade detail was considered to preserve the original architectural language.
To honour that requirement, the garage door was entirely clad in genuine brick slips, laid by hand so the bond of the surrounding masonry continues perfectly. The leaf weighs close to a tonne — a technical feat made possible by an oversized drive and a bespoke mechanism that guarantee perfectly silent, smooth operation.
Once closed, the door disappears completely into the brick façade: no visible frame, no break in material, no perceptible gap. A confidential achievement, reserved for heritage projects where architectural integration allows no compromise.
